Different problems.

One place to talk about solve them

Biolynk delivers role-specific solutions for organisations across the biomethane value chain.

While Biolynk’s services are consistent, the context in which they apply varies significantly depending on role, responsibility and position in the market. Producers, suppliers, energy users, importers and advisors all engage with biomethane differently — and face very different challenges as a result.

The sections below outline the types of organisations we typically work with, the situations they are usually navigating, and where Biolynk most often gets involved.

Biomethane producers

Producers are often balancing plant performance, feedstock supply and operational delivery alongside certification, audits and route-to-market decisions. Commercial structures, sustainability requirements and buyer expectations are rarely static, and producers are frequently required to engage with multiple counterparties while maintaining robust documentation and compliance.

Where we get involved

Biolynk works with biomethane producers from early certification and market engagement through to long-term delivery. We support ISCC onboarding, audit preparation and ongoing certification requirements, while helping producers engage with suppliers on commercially robust and realistic terms. Our role is to remain embedded as supply arrangements evolve, ensuring documentation, mass balance and sustainability characteristics are maintained as volumes move and counterparties change.

Suppliers & Traders

Suppliers and traders are often managing complex biomethane portfolios across multiple producers, jurisdictions and contractual structures. As volumes scale, so does the need for consistency across certification, mass balance, documentation integrity and regulatory alignment. Managing these requirements across counterparties and transactions requires coordination, clarity and an understanding of how commercial delivery and compliance interact in practice.

Where we get involved

Biolynk acts as an embedded biomethane, certification and regulatory specialist within supplier and trader organisations. We support portfolio-level certification management, oversee documentation and mass balance across multiple producers, and provide clarity where certification, imports or registry requirements intersect with commercial delivery. Our involvement is designed to reduce compliance risk as portfolios grow, while maintaining consistency across transactions and long-term supply arrangements.

Large energy users

Large energy users are navigating decarbonisation alongside operational, reporting and compliance requirements, with biomethane procurement often forming part of broader sustainability strategies. Aligning sourcing decisions with credible documentation and certification is central to ensuring renewable energy claims are clear, consistent and defensible across internal and external reporting.

Biolynk supports large energy users in sourcing and structuring biomethane supply that aligns with decarbonisation objectives and reporting realities. We help assess the credibility of supply options, verify sustainability characteristics, and ensure documentation and certification can be stood over as claims are made. Our role is to provide clarity where procurement, certificates and compliance intersect, remaining involved as strategies evolve and regulatory expectations change.

Importers & cross-border participants

Participants involved in cross-border biomethane flows are typically focused on whether supply will be recognised and deliver value within the Irish regulatory and registry framework. Imports often involve multiple jurisdictions, certification regimes and counterparties, making alignment between origin, sustainability characteristics and documentation essential from the outset.

Biolynk supports importers and cross-border participants in assessing eligibility, recognition and documentation requirements for biomethane entering the Irish market. We verify legitimacy and sustainability characteristics, support engagement with the GNI Renewable Gas Registry, and help align roles and responsibilities across producers, suppliers and traders. Our involvement continues as imports move into delivery, providing clarity and problem-solving where registry, regulatory or documentation issues arise.

Advisory & consulting firms

Advisory and consulting firms are increasingly asked to support clients on biomethane, certification and regulatory questions that sit outside traditional energy, sustainability or commercial advisory scopes. These issues often require specialist, up-to-date technical understanding and an ability to engage directly with certification schemes, registries and evolving regulatory frameworks.

Biolynk works alongside advisory and consulting firms as a specialist biomethane and compliance layer within broader client engagements. We provide technical input, regulatory interpretation and documentation support, either on a white-label basis or as a named specialist partner. Our role is to complement existing advisory capabilities, allowing firms to support clients confidently without building in-house biomethane expertise.
